Rewined Candles
If you’re a wine lover like me, you’ll be obsessed with Rewined Candles. Seriously though, what could be better than wine and candles, combined in one unique product? The combination is like peanut butter and jelly or chocolate and peanut butter, it just works!
From the concept right down to the design, Rewined Candles seems to have thought of it all. Plus, they're a company that believes in reusing to come up with a completely new, totally rad product.
Rewined is based in Charleston, South Carolina, where they handcraft candles from repurposed wine bottles. The scents are designed to mimic the key notes, flavors, and hues of your favorite type of wine. The American-owned company was started by a man who worked in a restaurant and saw several wine bottles going to waste on a daily basis. Rewined was born shortly after he had the brilliant idea to turn those bottles into premium candles.
All Rewined Candles are made from a premium soy blend that are hand poured into repurposed wine bottles. Each scent is also delicately crafted to pick up the subtle savory and sweet notes of even the most complex wines. Plus, the design of the labels instantly give your space an upscale meets vintage feel. The style of the label paired with the repurposed wine bottle makes them a classy addition to any space.
I was actually sent two unique Rewined Candles scents, and couldn’t have been happier with the picks. I loved the warm, crisp notes of the Pinot Grigio scent, but also enjoyed the light, refreshing fragrance of the Rosé.
Rewined Candles describes the Pinot Grigio as a “smooth, clean varietal” with hints of sandalwood and rich minerals accented by strong notes of citrus – a description that is spot on. While I’m not necessarily a candle (or wine) connoisseur, I’d have to say this is one of the best candles you’ll ever experience. The burn on it was smooth, and the fragrance was even more subtle, yet warming. I’m definitely going to have to stock up on this one!
While I'm obsessed with the Pinot Grigio candle, I didn’t think that another scent could measure up until I lit the Rosé. This scent was a completely different fragrance with hints of rose petal, white peach, pink peppercorn, and a rich minerality that stood all on its own. I also appreciated that this candle came packaged in a clear glass bottle as compared to the green of the Pinot Grigio. The scent is much more delicate than Pinot Grigio, and the packaging definitely mimics that. I’d recommend picking one of these up for that special female in your life, along with a bottle of Rosé as well.
As much as I loved these two scents, I can’t wait to try all of the other options Rewined Offers. The company stocks everything from Seasonal Sangria Magnum to Champagne, Cabernet, Merlot, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Whether I'm writing, working, cleaning or reading, I almost always have a candle lit to help me relax. Rewined candles make the perfect gift for any occasion and I couldn't say enough about the quality of the product and scents. Don’t forget to enjoy them with a rich glass of wine. Cheers!
