Carlos Campos SS18

The Carlos Campos Spring/Summer 2018 line was all about architecture. More specifically, Campos borrowed on the minimalist lines and vibrant color of contemporary Mexican architect Luis Barragan.

The palette was also minimal, focusing on primary colors such as reds and blues, occasionally paired with last season's popular neutrals. Leading the show was a red suit showcasing the wearable focus of the new line. The designer then worked in more casual color-blocked pieces, incorporating outerwear and finishing with a perfectly tailored monochromatic blue suit.

Pleated shorts were ubiquitous, and the trendy male romper appeared in both short and full pant lengths. The outerwear was arguably the most successful with must-have classics in the show's signature red and blue colors, a masculine boxed shoulder windbreaker, the obligatory pea coat, an easy unbelted floor-length coat and a toggled rain cape.
